Finality
On the same day I found out that my job as Scout Master was given a termination date, the boys and I started applying the final coats of paint to our canoe. It looks pretty good. I tried using the paint technique of “roll and tip” in order to get a smooth surface without spraying the paint on.
It’s a technique that is a lot harder to do than it sounds. I got a lot of practice and am getting better at it. It’s by no means perfect though. In any case, I think the boat turned out very well. Ultimately we will see if it works in a couple of weeks when we take it to the lake.
